Peddler Themes by Skyzoo brings together a compact set of tracks that highlight his storytelling skills and his feel for classic hip-hop arrangements; the release dates back to 2017 and was described in coverage as a project firmly rooted in boom bap, with eight tracks in total. Musically, Skyzoo leans on densely woven sample textures, tight drum patterns, and precise rhyme schemes that sit at the forefront of the production. Contributors include producers like Illmind and Apollo Brown; on select cuts Skyzoo contributes beats of his own, which keeps the EP multi-layered both in content and in sound. The production largely sticks to classic sonic elements, augmented by occasional modern touches. Lyrically, Skyzoo moves between observations from everyday life and references to hip hop tradition, with nostalgic samples and direct nods to his influences structuring the tracks. Concrete uses of samples, such as the Cortex loop on "Long Money" or the intro from "Wild Style" on "For Real (er)", underscore the deliberate connection to earlier sound sources. The edition released on Old Soul Music documents this phase in Skyzoo's work and puts the producers and sample choices at the center of the listening experience.
